These terms are an agreement between DCS3 LLC, which does business as Pinlight ("we", "us"), and the business or person using Pinlight ("you"). Pinlight provides local search tools, including geogrid rank tracking, competitor and review intelligence, reports, and API and AI access at https://usepinlight.com. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you act for a business, you confirm that you have authority to accept them for that business.
Accounts and agencies
You must be at least 18 and provide accurate account information. Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us promptly about unauthorized access. You are responsible for your agency, the team members you invite, their use of Pinlight, and the permissions and share links you create. You must have the right to enter and manage your clients' information.
Subscriptions and credits
Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe and renew automatically until you cancel. By choosing a plan, you authorize its recurring charge and any applicable taxes. Current prices and included credits appear on our pricing page. We will notify you before a subscription price change takes effect.
- Credits are granted each paid period and roll over while you remain subscribed.
- One credit scans one pin for one keyword. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred.
- Scans, including scheduled scans, pause at zero credits or when your balance is too low to cover a scan. They can resume when you have enough credits. We do not charge for overage.
- You may buy additional top-up packs at the price shown when you purchase them.
- If you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the paid period. After that, your credit balance is kept but cannot be used until you subscribe again.
Cancel from Billing in your settings. Refunds and billing corrections follow our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Free trial
The free trial requires a card and includes a one-time grant of 1,000 credits. There is one trial per card. Your card is not charged until you choose a paid plan. When trial credits run out, scans pause; the trial does not automatically become a paid subscription.
Acceptable use
Use Pinlight only for lawful business purposes. You must not:
- Scrape Pinlight or extract its data outside the supported features and API.
- Resell raw data as a competing service.
- Use the service illegally or violate others' rights.
- Abuse rate limits, bypass access controls, interfere with the service, or misuse free trials.
Comply with Google's terms where they apply to your use of maps, search results and related data.
Third-party data and services
Ranking results come from Google Maps through DataForSEO. Ranks are point-in-time estimates that vary by location, timing and other factors. We do not guarantee their accuracy, completeness or continued availability, or any improvement in search rankings. Third-party services may change or become unavailable.
Your data and our service
You own the client data and other content you provide. You give Pinlight permission to store, process and display it to provide the service, including reports, share links and integrations you authorize. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. You are responsible for deciding what to share and for obtaining any required permissions from your clients.
DCS3 LLC and its licensors retain their rights to Pinlight's software, design and branding. Your subscription gives you permission to use the service under these terms; it does not transfer ownership of the service or third-party data.
Suspension and termination
You may cancel your subscription at any time and contact support to close your account. We may suspend or terminate access for nonpayment, a material breach of these terms, unlawful activity, or a risk to the service or other users. Where practical, we will explain the issue and give you an opportunity to resolve it. Account closure and data deletion follow the retention practices in our Privacy Policy. Amounts already owed remain payable.
Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, Pinlight is provided "as is" and "as available", without express or implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. You are responsible for evaluating results before relying on them for business decisions.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, DCS3 LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or lost profits, revenue, goodwill or data arising from the service. Our total liability for claims arising from or relating to Pinlight or these terms is capped at the fees you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Governing law
Virginia law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts in Virginia, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. We will post the revised terms with a new last-updated date and provide notice of material changes by email or in the service before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms. If you disagree, stop using Pinlight and cancel your subscription.
